Visa Application Centres (VACs) reopen in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune.

Visa Application Centres (VACs) have now reopened all across India. Therefore, study permit as well as family sponsorship applicants can now submit their biometrics from there. Moreover, there are now four more application centres, raising the total to ten. The people of Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune can now apply directly from their city.

India has a high demand for VACs especially when it comes to study permit applicants. As thousands look to study in Canda, application centres will prioritise those coming to study at a Designated Learning Institution. Also those applying for permanent residence as a spouse, common-law partner, or dependent child will have priority.

However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the VACs will offer limited services until further notice. In order to book an appointment, please visit the official website and fill out the online form. The application centre will then confirm an appointment via email. Biometrics are required: the applicant’s fingertips and a photograph. Application centres provide biometrics under a fee, in order to link the biometrics to the applicant when he or she enters Canada.
