To reveal best party universities in Canada, Maclean’s surveyed over 18,000 university students throughout Canada in 2019 and asked them to access how much time they spend partying each week. We totaled the mediate weekly party hours for each higher educational institution, eliminating extreme deviations to make sure a small number of “party animals” don’t affect the results.

Was it due to the legalization of marijuana, a festive mood in the air, or something totally different? Anyways, the number of best party universities has definitely increased. Interestingly, students across the country admitted spending significantly more time enjoying parties compared to the previous year.

For example, the average student in 2019 spent 4.7 hours per week on parties, up from 3.0 hours compared to the year before. In addition, respondents said they usually spent $12.86 on alcohol drinks each week—up from $11.80 in 2018—and consumed an average of 3.9 on drinking, unlike the previous year (3,3).

Movies might tell you a different story. In reality, most students don’t drink or party much at all. In fact, one-third report they never engage in either activity.
